I have noticed that the parking lot behind the Odeon cinema is most of the time empty.
Why cant it be free parking at all times. I think it will be more positive than an empty parking lot. At the present time it make's no money for the council. (if you call £ 20 or so per day money)
My suggestion can only improve the area. More cars off the street. The shops around the area will benefit from the additional parking. Full at all times can only increase the revenue in the area.
Then on Sundays, let charity organizations have a flea market, selling good tasty home made cakes. Also sell secondhand computers, audio equipment etc.
I am sure this will make Muswell Hill come alive once a week.

Yes, I agree. Parking in Muswell Hill is getting really difficult - but whenever I go into the Odeon car park it seems to be half empty - so it does seem like a bit of a waste - I can't see the council going for that idea though ... but you never know.
The idea of a charity organisation thing on a Sunday is a really good one, especially the tasty homemade cakes ! or perhaps a charity Christmas Craft fair could also be an good idea .. anything to put the space to better use.
